Where Is My Bus - How Does It Work
Once a school bus service has been registered with WhereIsMyBus, parents can be included in the scheme and receive notifications of reported problems that will effect them.
Using the latest mobile SMS and web technologies the WhereIsMyBus system is able to send out hundreds of notifications with just one click.
The system has been designed for ease of use by both parents and school transport providers.
For parents: All you do is register your mobile phone to a particular bus service. The WhereIsMyBus system will then automatically inform you of any reported problems with that service, leaving you to continue with your daily routine with one less worry.
For transport providers: The system can have your services included at no charge, and when a problem is reported an SMS text message and email is automatically sent to each subscriber within seconds, giving notification of the problem/change and a course of action if known. |
Transport providers can also use our contact centre to enable communication to be made when the problems happen. It is operational during and outside of normal office hours, taking away the need for you to be in the office or even by a computer to report the problem. One call and we can do the rest, ensuring the message gets to the people who need it, when they need it. |
